O R D E R

This petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct the Fast Track Mahila Court, Nagercoil to complete the trial in S.C.No.256 of 2024 within a time stipulated by this Court.

2. According to the petitioner, he is the sole accused in this case and F.I.R has been registered on 05.02.2024 and now the case is pending for trial. So far, no witnesses have been examined in this case. The petitioner is working in a US based Company and due to the pendency of this case, he is unable to withdraw his salary and the salary was withhold and he is unnecessarily paying huge tax. Therefore, he is facing financial crises due to pendency of this case. Hence this petition.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the first respondent would submit that based on the complaint lodged by the 2nd respondent, they registered a case in Crime No.27 of 2024 for the offences under Section 4 of TN Prohibition of harassment of Women Act, 2002 and Sections 294(b), 307, 448 and 506(2) of IPC and thereafter, they have filed the final report and based on the same, now the case is posted for trial. They will cooperate for the speedy disposal by producing the Page No. 2 of 4

witnesses without any delay.

4. Considering the prayer sought for in the petition and the case is also pending and considering the reasons stated by the petitioner, this Court directs the Trial Court to complete the trial proceedings in S.C.No. 256 of 2024 on the file of the Fast Track Mahila Court, Nagercoil as early as possible without giving long adjournments beyond one week.

5. With the above said observation and direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
