ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by N. ANAND VENKATESH,J.) This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to produce the petitioner's daughter namely V.Gomathi, aged about 19 years and to set her at liberty.

2. We have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor.

3. The case of the petitioner is that his daughter went missing on 28.01.2026. Since her whereabouts were not known, a complaint was given on 30.01.2026 before the second respondent. Thereafter, another complaint was given to the first respondent on 09.03.2026. Since no action was taken, the present petition has been filed before this Court.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submitted that a "girl missing" FIR in Crime No.104 of 2026 was registered by the second respondent on 10.03.2026. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor further submitted that it is a case of elopement.

5. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made on either side, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to produce the detenue before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Vedasanthur. On the date of such production, the petitioner shall be put on notice and the learned Magistrate shall record the statement of the detenue and proceed further in accordance with law.

6. This Habeas Corpus Petition is disposed of with the above directions.
