PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 29.03.2024 and to open a Library in their Village in the land situated in Survey No.215/24 which is classified as Natham Poramboke vacant site to an extent of 3.44 ares at Kambikudi.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by R.SURESH KUMAR, J.) The prayer sought for in this Writ Petition is for a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 29.03.2024 and to open a Library in their Village in the land situated in Survey No.215/24 which is classified as Natham Poramboke vacant site to an extent of 3.44 ares at Kambikudi. 2.The petitioner had given a representation on 29.03.2024 to the respondents for considering opening a Library at his village, namely 2/6

Kambikudi Village, Virudhunagar District. In order to consider the same, the Writ Petition has been filed as a 'Public Interest Litigation'. 3.Mr.P.Thilak Kumar, learned Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents, would submit that the said representation would be considered by the third respondent/the Block Development Officer on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.

4.Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for herein and having regard to the submissions made by the learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, this Court is inclined to dispose of this Writ Petition with the following order:

That there shall be a direction to the third respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 29.03.2024 and pass orders thereon on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With this direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
