ORDER

The petitioner has filed the present writ petition for a Mandamus directing the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 9.10.2014 and pass appropriate orders for felling and removing the trees in Survey No.753/3A3 in Sirumalai, Dindigul District.

2. Mr.R.Velmurugan, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondent.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice if the respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 9.10.2014.

4. Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, I direct the respondent to pass orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 9.10.2014, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after giving prior notice to the petitioner. The petitioner is directed to send a copy of the representation already sent along with the copy this order to the respondent. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
