ORDER

The petitioner seeks issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the second respondent to issue patta to the petitioner based on the registered settlement deed dated 23.05.2019 in document No.3521 of 2019, on the file of Sub-Registrar, Thirumangalam Sub Registrar Office.

2. The case of the petitioner is that subsequent to the settlement deed in favour of the petitioner, the petitioner has approached the second respondent seeking patta by making a representation on 03.03.2025. According to the petitioner, patta has already been issued to the petitioner's predecessor in interest and therefore, subsequently, the petitioner's husband, who had purchased the subject property from one Raju, has chosen to settle the property in favour of the petitioner. The petitioner seeks patta in her individual name. In the event, without going into the entitlement of the petitioner for patta, the second respondent shall conduct due enquiry and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 03.03.2025 seeking patta in her name. The said exercise shall be concluded within a period of twelve weeks from the 2/4

date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
