Respondents PRAYER: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to appoint the petitioner as Assessor Gr-II following the Act 4 of 2009 I.e., the Tamil Nadu Arunthathiyars (Special Reservation of seats in Educational Institutions including Private Educational Institutions and of appointments of posts in the services under the State within the reservation for the scheduled castes) Act, 2009 and Rules notified in G.O.Ms.No.50, Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare (TD2) Department, dated 29.04.2009 and G.O.Ms.No.65, Personal and Administrative Reforms (K) Department, dated 27.05.2009 in Tamil Nadu Electricity Board with consequential benefits.

O R D E R

The petitioner seeks for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to appoint the petitioner as Assessor Gr-II following the Act 4 of 2009 i.e., the Tamil Nadu Arunthathiyars (Special Reservation of seats in Educational Institutions including Private Educational Institutions and of appointments of posts in the services under the State within the reservation for the scheduled castes) Act, 2009 and Rules notified in G.O.Ms.No.50, Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare (TD2) Department, dated 29.04.2009 and G.O.Ms.No.65, Personal and Administrative Reforms (K) Department, dated 27.05.2009 in Tamil Nadu Electricity Board with consequential benefits.

2.Mr.S.Dhayalan, learned counsel takes notice for the respondents 1 to 3 and Mr.R.Velmurugan, learned Government Advocate takes notice for R4 and R5. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice if the representation of the petitioner is disposed of, on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 4.In view of the limited scope of the prayer, the respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 13.01.2015 on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected M.P.is closed.
