Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents 1 to 8 to take appropriate action on the Respondents 9 and 10 for failure to release the medical reimbursement amount to the petitioner's for the petitioner's wife's Covid-19 treatment from 20.05.2021 to 28.05.2021 taken in Sumathi Hospital at 334-A, Annanagar, Madurai. Heard Mr.R.Alagumani, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, Mr.K.Govindarajan, learned counsel appearing for R1, Mr.J.Ashok, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for R2 to R5, R7 & R8, Ms.S.Devasena, learned counsel appearing for R6 and Mr.A.Shajahan, learned counsel appearing for R9. 3/7

The petitioner has filed this petition seeking to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 8 to take appropriate action on the Respondents 9 and 10 for their failure to release the medical reimbursement amount to him for his wife's Covid-19 treatment during the period from 20.05.2021 to 28.05.2021.

3. Mr.R.Alagumani, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner who has incurred expense of Rs.2,45,916/- towards his wife's covid-19 treatment for the period from 20.05.2021 to 28.05.2021, is yet to receive reimbursement.

4. Ms.S.Devasena, learned counsel appearing for the sixth respondent submitted that the sixth respondent has forwarded the papers to the ninth respondent and the ninth respondent has to pass orders with regard to the claim of the petitioner.

5. Since papers are pending with the ninth respondent, the ninth respondent is directed to pass orders on the claim of the petitioner 4/7

within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
