ORDER : The Court made the following order :- This Criminal Original Petition has been filed by the petitioner on 03.04.2025 under Section 483 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023, praying to grant bail.

2. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, Mr.K.Sanjai Gandhi, learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent-Police submits that the petitioner has been detained under Act 14 of 1982.

3. At this juncture, Mr.R.Boominathan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner seeks permission of this Court to withdraw this petition. In that effect, he has made an endorsement in the case file and the same is extracted hereunder: "Act 14 is invoked against the petitioner. Hence, permit to withdraw this case."
