O R D E R

This petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct the 3rd respondent to provide adequate police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner from the respondents 4 to 6.

2. According to the petitioner, there is a property dispute pending between the petitioner and the private respondents and thereby, the private respondents involved in criminal activities. Therefore, the petitioner lodged a complaint before the 3rd respondent, but no action was taken. Hence this petition.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent police would submit that the petitioner's complaint is under enquiry and they will conduct enquiry and dispose of the same within two weeks.

4. Considering the prayer sought for in the petition, this Court without even issuing notice to the respondents no.3 to 6 inclined to pass orders in this petition.

5. According to the petitioner, he sent a representation dated 28.03.2025 for seeking police protection and the same has not been considered by the 3rd respondent. The 3rd respondent has also admitted the receipt of the complaint and the same is under enquiry. Therefore, it is for the 3rd respondent to conduct proper enquiry and take appropriate action. In view of the same, this Court directs the 3rd respondent to conduct enquiry on the petitioner's complaint dated 28.03.2025 in accordance with law after affording an opportunity to both the parties within a period of two weeks from the date of this order.

6. With the above said observation and direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
