Respondents PRAYER : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the first respondent District Collector herein to consider and pass orders on the application submitted to him by the Rajakambalathar Nayakkar community people including the petitioner dated 10.03.2014 requesting to permit to open a portrait of Rajakambalathar Nayakkar Community leader-Veera Pandia Katta Pomman in the Village Common-Choultry (Grama Podhu Chavadi) at Marikundu Village, Markundu Post, Aunditpatty Taluk, Theni District.

The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition seeking issuance of a Mandamus to direct the first respondent District Collector to consider and pass orders on the application submitted to him by the Rajakambalathar Nayakkar community people including the petitioner dated 10.03.2014 requesting to permit them to open a portrait of Rajakambalathar Nayakkar Community leader-Veera Pandia Katta Pomman in the Village Common-Choultry (Grama Podhu Chavadi) at Marikundu Village, Markundu Post, Aunditpatty Taluk, Theni District.

2.Heard the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3.Having regard to the nature of issue involved in this Writ Petition and the fact that the petitioner has already submitted a representation on 10.03.2014 in relation to his prayer in the writ petition, this Court is inclined to pass an order directing the District Collector, Theni District, first respondent herein, to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 10.03.2014 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law and in accordance with guidelines or regulation or order of Government, if any, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity to the petitioner and also to the interested persons. 4.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
