... Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records relating to the Provisional List of Candidates called for verification in Recruitment of Post Graduate Assistant /Physical Director Grade I for the year 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 and quash the same insofar as non inclusion of Petitioner's name in Tamil Medium and direct the respondents to consider the petitioner for the appointment to the post of P.G Assistant (Economics) under the Tamil medium quota. For Petitioner : Mr.T.Antony Arul Raj For Respondents : Mr.V.Muruganandam, Additional Government Pleader.
ORDER
Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.V.Muruganandam, learned Additional Government Pleader who takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage.
2.This writ petition has been filed challenging the provisional list of candidates called for verification in recruitment to the post of Post Graduate Assistant/Physical Director Grade I for the year 2013-2014 and 2014-2015.
3.The grievance of the petitioner is that even though he was possessing under graduate in Tamil medium, he was not considered and selected to the post of Post Graduate Assistant only on the reason that https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
his Post Graduation namely, M.A.(Economics) was not undergone through Tamil Medium.
4.It is not in dispute that the petitioner is seeking appointment to the post of Post Graduate Assistant for which the requisite qualification is a post graduate in the particular subject as well as B.Ed. In this case, the petitioner admittedly is not possessing post graduate qualification in Tamil medium.
5.When that being the admitted position merely possessing B.Ed qualification in Tamil alone cannot entitle the petitioner to seek for selection as he has not undergone post graduate through Tamil medium. Therefore, I find no merit to entertain this writ petition. Accordingly, the writ petition fails and the same is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, M.P(MD)Nos.1 and 2 of 2015 are closed.
