Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.T.R.Janarthanam, learned Additional Government Pleader who takes notice for the respondent. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
2.This writ petition has been filed challenging the impugned proceedings of the second respondent dated 06.02.2015 and consequently seeking for a direction to the second respondent to provide the post of Village Administrative Officer to the petitioner.
3.The second respondent through the impugned proceedings informed the petitioner that his application for the Village Administrative Officer could not be considered and the same was rejected for having violated paragraph 12 of the instructions etc., given to the candidates.
4.The specific reason stated in the impugned order is that the petitioner is possessing H.Sc., as his educational qualification which is not eligible for availing examination fee concession. Therefore, as the petitioner has failed to pay examination fees, his application was rejected. 5.Needless to say that a person who seeks to write the examination through the TNPSC has to pay necessary examination fees, if he/she is not otherwise entitled to examination fee concession. In this case, admittedly the petitioner is not entitled to such concession and has not paid the examination fee. Therefore, his application was rightly rejected with which I find no reason to interfere. Accordingly, the writ petition fails and the same is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, M.P(MD)No.1 of 2015 is closed.
