Respondents Prayer: Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to include the name of the petitioner for the post of Junior Water Analyst for the year of 2017-18 by taking into account of the willingness of the writ petitioner which was already submitted and the retrospective promotion as Assistant given during the year of 2017 and re-fix the seniority of the petitioner above her junior Tmt.V.Sabitha in the seniority for the said post of Junior Water Analyst on the basis of the representation dated 19.01.2023.

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

The grievance projected by the petitioner is likely to be redressed shortly. The second respondent has stated before this Court that on account of the revision of seniority under the post of Assistant, the petitioner's rank has been fixed at 478, whereas that of the third respondent has been fixed at 485. Since the third respondent was promoted as Junior Water Analyst in the year 2017-18, the petitioner will be given retrospective promotion on par with her junior by giving the petitioner the monetary effect from the date of joining duty that is with effect from 13.06.2022.

3. In the light of the submission made by the second respondent before this Court, appropriate proceedings will be issued within a period 2/4
