: Respondent PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent herein to accord necessary permission for conduct of the Kabadi Tournament at N.G.O.Colony, Radhanagar Ground, Nagamalai Pudukkottai on 02.03.2015 and 03.03.2015, respectively by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 20.02.2015.

*********** Writ of Mandamus could be sought for, if proper application is submitted before the authority concerned. In this case, the petitioner straightaway submitted a representation through Registered Post seeking necessary permission for the conduct of Kabadi Tournament at N.G.O.Colony, Radhanagar Ground, Nagamalai Pudukkottai on 02.03.2015 and 03.03.2015 and thereafter, has come to this Court with the present Writ Petition. This Court is of the view that such kind of attitude, without filing any application and straightaway making a representation, should be deprecated. Hence, this Writ Petition is dismissed. However, it is open to the petitioner to make a fresh representation and if no action is taken, he can come to this Court. No costs.
