ORDER

I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners, Mr.S.Kameswaran, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 & 3 and Mr.M.Muthumanikkam, learned Government Advocate appearing for the second respondent.

2. With the consent of the learned counsel appearing on either side, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal, at the admission stage.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that the lands in survey No. 277/1B have been acquired under the "Pradhan Manthiri Village Road Project" without compensating the petitioner. Even according to the petitioner, Survey No.277/1B has been classified as Pathai. In any event, considering the fact that the petitioner has already made a representation 2/5

to the District Collector, which has been subsequently forwarded to the third respondent, who inturn forwarded the same to the second respondent as early as on 24.02.2025, it would suffice to direct the second respondent to conduct necessary enquiry and pass final orders on the petitioners representation dated 09.12.2024, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The order is being passed without going into the petitioners' entitlement for compensation, which shall be decided by the second respondent.

4. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
