PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents 1 to 4 to ensure the protection of villagers in worshipping "Subbaiah Kovil" (Murugan Temple) during the "Panguni Uthiram festival" to be celebrated on 11.04.2025 and directing the second respondent to conduct peace committee meeting before the temple festival, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 22.03.2025. This petition is filed by the petitioner to direct the respondents 1 to 4 to ensure the protection of villagers in worshipping "Subbaiah Kovil" (Murugan Temple) during the "Panguni Uthiram festival" to be celebrated on 11.04.2025 and directing the second respondent to conduct 2/6
Peace Committee Meeting before the date of temple festival, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 22.03.2025.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor (crl.side) appearing for the respondents 3 and 4, on instructions, submits that the respondents 3 and 4 had received a representation of the petitioner dated 22.03.2025 and the same was forwarded to the respondents 1 and 2. Therefore, the respondents 1 and 2 have to take appropriate decision.

The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 and 2, on instructions, submits that they received the representation of the petitioner and the respondents 3 and 4 have also forwarded the representation of the petitioner. He further submits that the respondents 1 and 2 will conduct Peace Committee Meeting on 08.04.2025. Therefore, after affording opportunity to both the parties, they will pass appropriate orders.

4. Heard Mr.S.Sankar appearing for the respondents 5 to 9.
5. Since the representation of the petitioner is pending with the second respondent, it is for him to conduct enquiry and pass appropriate orders. In view of the same, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing both the parties, within two days from today (i.e., 07.04.2025).
6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
