ORDER
This writ petition has been filed to call for the records pertaining to the impugned order passed by the second respondent vide proceeding in Na.Ka. No.11/B1PS/TVBR, dated 09.05.2022 and quash the same as illegal and consequently, directing the second respondent herein to grant permission and adequate police protection to conduct the Temple Car Festival Function in Punitha Saveriyaar Aalayam, At Keelakurichi Village, Nathamadipatti, Thiruverumbur Taluk, Trichy District.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner's village people decided to conduct Car Festival on 14.05.2022, for which, the petitioner made an application before the second respondent and the same was rejected vide proceeding in https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
W.P.(MD)No.9665 of 2022 Na.Ka.No.11/B1PS/TVBR, dated 09.05.2022. Hence, the petitioner is constrained to file the present petition.
3.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the State would submit that the petitioner may obtain ''No Objection Certificate' from the Electricity Board Authorities, where the Car Festival is going to be conducted and to make a fresh representation enclosing the NOC obtained by them to the second respondent and on receipt of such representation, the respondents are ready and willing to permit the petitioner to conduct Car Festival. 4.Considering the submissions made by both sides, the petitioner is directed to obtain NOC from the concerned Electricity Board for conducting Car Festival and to make fresh representation on or before 13.05.2022 to the second respondent and on receipt of the same, the second respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's application on merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law.
5.With the above directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
