Respondent PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. praying to direct the learned III-Additional District and Sessions Judge (PCR), Madurai to consider the bail application of the petitioners on the same day in Crime No.736 of 2016 on the file of the respondent police.

ORDER
It is an application seeking a direction to the III Additional District and Sessions Judge (P.C.R.), Madurai, to consider the bail application of the petitioners on the same day of their surrender.
2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the respondents. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that though the petitioners are not the named accused in the First Information Report registered in Crime No.736 of 2016 under Sections 147, 148, 341. 294(b), 324 and 506(ii) IPC r/w Section 3 (1)(s) of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, the petitioners are apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent Police. He would further submit that they themselves belong to SC community.
4.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side), on instructions, would submit that one Rajadurai lodged a complaint against five named accused and unnamed accused alleging that they https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
scolded him by using caste name and also attacked him with knife and stick. It is also reported that A1 and A3 have been arrested and A2, A4 and A5 surrendered on 31.05.2016.
5.Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, the petitioners are directed to surrender before the concerned Court within a period of ten days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and to file bail application. The IIIAdditional District and Sessions Judge (P.C.R.), Madurai is directed to consider the bail application of the petitioners and dispose of the same on merits and in accordance with law, on the same day of their surrender.
6.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
