This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent herein to expedite the investigation in Cr.No.1132 of 2020 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Melavalavu Police Station, Madurai District and to file the final report. 2.When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent police submitted that based on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, the respondent police registered an FIR in Crime No. 1132 of 2020 and for the same, investigation has been conducted and final report has been filed, but the same was returned. Therefore, he seeks one month time for rectifying the defects and filing a final report before the jurisdictional Magistrate Court. 3.Considering the limited prayer sought for in this petition and the respondent police also seeks one month time to file a final report after rectifying the defects, the respondent police is directed to file final report before the jurisdictional Magistrate Court, within a period of one month 2/4

from the date of this order.

4.With the above direction, this criminal original petition stands disposed of.
