ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 to 6 to instruct the respondents 7 to 11 to collect capitation tax (jyf;fl;L thp) from the petitioner and others to celebrate Chithirai Festival on 11.05.2022 at Shree Kinatradi Muthukkaruppar Temple, Marungipatti Village, Karaikudi Taluk, Sivagangai District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 07.05.2022.

2. The respondents 7 to 11 herein are private respondents and they are not coming under the definition of State. Mandamus can be issued only against the State and State Instrumentality. Hence, the prayer sought for in this Writ Petition cannot be considered. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs.
