ORDER

This writ petition is filed for issuance of writ of mandamus forbearing the respondents from interfering with the lawful functions of the petitioner's club without any complaint or due process of law.

2.According to the petitioner, he is running a club in the name of 'Kuzhithalai Kaveri Club' by registering under the Tamilnadu Societies Registration Act, before the District Registrar, Karur. The object of the society is to promote indoor games like rummy without the element of gambling.

3.Though this Court is not inclined to grant this relief, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instructions of the respondent police, who is also present before this Court, submits that the petitioner club is not in function from the year 2014 onwards.

4.In view of the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
