ORDER

This Criminal Miscellaneous Petition has been filed seeking modification of the condition imposed on the petitioner by this Court in paragraph No.4 of the order dated 29.10.2025 passed in Crl.M.P.(MD) No.15680 of 2025 in Crl.O.P.(MD)No.2288 of 2024, whereby the petitioner was directed to deposit a sum of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand only) to the credit of the President, Narasingam Panchayat, for restoration of the Kanmai, and was further directed to make physical contribution for such restoration.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent police.

3. Considering the nature of the offence, this Court is of the view that the condition imposed in paragraph No.4 of the aforesaid condition is onerous, particularly insofar as it directs the petitioner to deposit 2/5

money to the Panchayat, which is in no way relevant to the present case. Hence, this Court is inclined to relax the said condition in toto. Accordingly, the condition imposed on the petitioner in paragraph No.4 of the order dated 29.10.2025 passed in Crl.M.P.(MD)No.15680 of 2025 in Crl.O.P.(MD)No.2288 of 2024 is hereby relaxed in toto.

4. Considering that the present petition seeking modification has been pending before this Court, the time earlier granted by this Court is hereby extended by a further period of thirty days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. All other conditions imposed by this Court shall remain unaltered.

6. Accordingly, this Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is allowed. 16-04-2026 mkn 3/5
