O R D E R

The present Writ Petition has been filed by the wife of the employee of the respondent Corporation, who died in harness, seeking a direction to the respondents 1, 2 and 3 to settle the petitioner's late husband surrender leave salary so for not given by the respondent Corporation for 117 days in respect of the years 2010 to 2019 together with interest at the rate of 18 percent per annum payable from the date for retirement to till the date of actual payment.

2. Though the petitioner's husband died on 14.02.2022, the surrender leave salary has not been disbursed to the writ petitioner, despite giving representation to the respondents on 25.02.2025, for disbursing the said benefits. Since the representation has not been considered, the present writ petition has been filed.

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents. 4.Considering the above said facts, the respondents herein are directed to release the surrender leave salary upon the writ petitioner along with interest at the rate of 6% p.a., from the due date till the date of disbursement, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
