3.This Writ Petition is filed to direct the respondents to open for public worship the "House of Worship" Church situated at ECR Road, Tuticorin on 15.05.2022, by taking into account the petitioner's representation, dated 02.05.2022. 1/3

4.The case of the petitioner is that he is worshipping in the Church for the past 10 years along with the Village people. Hence, left with no other option, the petitioner has approached this Court by way of filing this Writ Petition. 5.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that there are two groups and two separate complaints were filed. However, he fairly submitted that the representation of the petitioner would be considered on merits and in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible. 6.

In view of the said submissions, this Court directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 02.05.2022 and pass orders on or before 14.05.2022. It is made clear that we have not expressed any opinion with regard to the merits of the case and it is also made clear that the respondents shall provide an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as any other person, whom they think fit and proper. 7.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of.
