O R D E R
This Writ Petition has been filed challenging Column No.3-A of the impugned online advertisement of the respondent vide No.1/15, dated 08.02.2015, fixing the cut off date as 01.07.2015 in calculating the maximum age for the backward class candidate for applying the post of Sub-Inspector [Taluk] and consequently direct the respondent to fix the cut off date for calculating the maximum age limit as date of advertisement, i.e., 08.02.2015, instead of 01.07.2015.
2. The grievance of the petitioner is that the cut off date fixed in the impugned notification is not correct and it should have been fixed as 08.02.2015, instead of 01.07.2015.
3. First of all, I am of the view that the petitioner cannot stipulate as to what could be the qualification, as it is for the competent authority to decide and fix the same. Moreover, in this case, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent pointed out that such cut off mark was fixed as per Rule 14 of the Tamil Nadu Special Police Subordinate Service Rules, 1978 and therefore, such https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
fixation of cut off mark cannot be found fault with. I find every force in the submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondent, and therefore, I find that the Writ Petition is totally misconceived. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are also dismissed.
