PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to dispose of the petitioner's appeal dated 12.01.2015 within the period stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

Mr.D.Muruganandam, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents and by consent of both the parties, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission.

2. Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3. The petitioner preferred an appeal before the third respondent on 25.06.2014, following by reminder on 12.01.2015, challenging the noninclusion of his name in the panel for promotion to the post of Deputy Tahsildar.

4. The grievance of the petitioner is that the third respondent has not passed any order so far in the said appeal. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.

5.Considering the fact that the petitioner has filed an appeal before the third respondent and the same is pending, without expressing any view on the claim made by the petitioner in respect of his claim for inclusion of his name in the panel for promotion, I only direct the third respondent to consider the appeal preferred by the petitioner on 25.06.2014 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
