PRAYER :- For Bail in Crime No.36 of 2024 on the file of the Respondent Police. ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The respondent police registered a case as against this petitioner in Crime No.36 1/4

of 2024 for the offence under Sections 447 of IPC, Sections 3 and 5 of Explosive Substances Act and Section 4 of TNPPDL Act and remanded him into judicial custody on 31.03.2024. Therefore, the petitioner has filed this petition seeking bail. 2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner and other accused have prepared country made bombs by purchasing the explosives illegally, hunted wild bores and damaged the government school building by throwing the bombs at the school building in order to have influence over the villagers and to intimidate them. Therefore, the case came to be filed.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has not involved in any offence and he is in no way connected with the offence. This case is registered only based on the confession statement of the co-accused and for statistical purpose. Therefore, the petitioner may be released on bail. 4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent Police submits that there are four accused in this case. They have prepared country made bombs and thrown it on the school building, which got damaged in the attack. Two country made bombs were also recovered from them. A1 to A3 are friends and 2/4

this petitioner A4 is a raw material supplier for the preparation of country made bombs. The investigation is at the initial stage and therefore, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor prayed that this petition be dismissed. 5.The nature of offence appears to be very serious. The public school building has been attacked with the country made bombs and two bombs are also recovered. If the raw materials are supplied illegally to anyone in such a manner, the same can be misused for any purpose. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.
