ORDER
Mr.R.Ananda Raj, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the first respondent and Mr.D.Sivaraman, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the second respondent. By consent of both the parties, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission.
2. Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the first respondent and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the second respondent.
3. The petitioner is seeking for a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to consider him for Compassionate appointment based on the petitioner's educational qualification.
4. It is stated that the petitioner's father was working as Conductor in the respondent's Transport Corporation and died on 10.10.2007, while he was in service. It is further stated that the petitioner sought for appointment on compassionate ground and based on his application an interview was conducted on 14.06.2012 by the second respondent in which the petitioner appeared and produced all the relevant Certificates. further stated that the petitioner is not informed of the subsequent developments thereafter. Therefore the petitioner made a representation on 24.01.2015, and the said representation is also still pending.
5. Considering the above facts and circumstances I direct the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 24.01.2015, in the light of the interview already conducted on 14.06.2012 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
