: Respondent PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to refix the salary of the petitioner with other consequential benefits including the pension amount to be paid to the petitioner, as per the order of the Labour Court, Madurai, dated 31.03.2004 passed in I.D.No.78 of 1999, within the time limit as fixed by this Court.

ORDER

The petitioner has come forward with the present Writ Petition seeking for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to refix the salary of the petitioner with other consequential benefits including the pension amount to be paid to the petitioner, as per the order of the Labour Court, Madurai, dated 31.03.2004 passed in I.D.No.78 of 1999, within the time limit as fixed by this Court.

2. Mr.D.Sivaraman, learned Standing Counsel, takes notice on behalf of the respondent.

3. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

4. Seeking such relief, the petitioner has sent a representation dated 20.07.2017 to the respondent and since the same has not been considered so far, the petitioner is before this Court with the present Writ Petition for the reliefs as stated above.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, without going into the merits of the case, a direction is given to the respondent to consider and dispose of the representation made by the petitioner dated 20.07.2017 on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner is also directed to send a copy of the representation dated 20.07.2017 along with a copy of this order to the respondent forthwith.

6. The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
