This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus by directing the respondents to grant permission to the petitioner's villagers for conducting Kabadi Tournament scheduled to be held on from 7.30 p.m on 07.07.2018 and upto 7.30 p.m 08.07.2018 in the public ground near Government Elementary School, Okkarai Village, Thuraiyur Taluk, Trichy District based on the representation dated 29.06.2018.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the the petitioner made a representation dated 28.06.2018. Since no order has been passed, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader submits that the representation of the petitioner has not been given to the second respondent and the same was sent to some other authority. But, the second respondent is the competent authority to consider the said representation. He would further submit that if the said representation is directed to be given to the second respondent, the same would be considered by him on merits and in accordance with, after providing opportunity of hearing to the parties concerned.
5. Considering the above stated facts, this Court directs the petitioner to send the copy of the representation dated 29.06.2018 to the second respondent immediately. On receipt of the said representation, the second respondent shall consider the representation on merits and in accordance with law after providing opportunity of hearing to the parties concerned, on or before 07.07.2018 6.With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
