[Order of the Court was made by S.NAGAMUTHU, J.] The petitioner has come up with this Public Interest litigation seeking a direction to the respondents 4 to 7 to stop the passenger buses plying through Mukkani Village in Tuticorin District to enable the passengers to get down and alight the buses.
2.When the matter was taken up today, the learned standing counsel appearing for the Transport Corporation submitted that already instructions have been given to the drivers and conductors of the buses plying in that route to stop all the buses at Mukkani bus-stop. He has further submitted that except the "Point to Point" and "Bye-pass Rider" buses, all the other buses are stopped in that stop for the passengers to get down or get into. 3.At this juncture, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that there is no sign board indicating the bus-stop in that place. Therefore, the second respondent is directed to erect a sign board of a "bus-stop" in that particular stop.
4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
