ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to call for the entire records relating to the fourth respondent impugned order vide C.No.03/EC1/TUT/2002, dated 05.05.2022 and to quash the same as illegal, arbitrary and consequently directing the fourth respondent to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner's temple namely, Sri Athi Narayanan Temple Festival, which will be held on 13.05.2022 and which is situated at Mangottapuram Village, Keelpidagai kasba, Eral Taluk, Thoothukudi District based on the petitioner's representation dated 02.05.2022.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is the village head man and the village people decided to conduct temple festival Sri Athi Narayanan Temple, situated at Mangottapuram Village, Keelpidagai kasba, Eral Taluk, Thoothukudi District. In that regard, the petitioner made an application for conducting Guru Poojai, that the said application was rejected by the fourth respondent on 05.05.2022. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner's application was rejected on the ground that the petitioner was not co-operated for 107 proceedings initiated by the fourth respondent. He would further submit that it would suffice, this Court may issue direction to the fourth respondent to initiate 107 proceedings between the petitioner and the aggrieved persons, thereafter, the fourth respondent may decide to grant permission to conduct Guru Poojai by the petitioner.

4.In view of the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner, this Court directs the fourth respondent to initiate 107 proceedings between the petitioner and the aggrieved persons, if there is any amicable settlement between the parties, then the fourth respondent may consider the petitioner's application for conducting Guru Poojai.
