Respondents PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing to the respondents to consider the petitioners representation dated on 21.05.2024 with regards to cancel the patta which is stands in the name of one Gramathana Sarvothaiya Kotturavu Society and issue patta to the petitioner name in respect of properties in Survey Nos.54/1, 54/4, 54/5, 58/2A, 58/2B, 58/2D, 58/3B situated at Rengappanaickanpatti Village, Nilakkottai Taluk, Dindigul District within the period that may be stipulated by this Court. 1/4

ORDER

The petitioner has made a representation for cancellation of patta standing in the name of Gramathana Sarvothaiya Kotturavu Society and to consequently issue patta to the petitioner.

2. With the consent of the learned counsel appearing on either side, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal, at the admission stage.

3. I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.B.Saravanan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

4. The petitioner has given a representation in this regard on 21/5/2024. Without going into the merits of the petitioner's claim, the writ petition is disposed of directing the third respondent to conduct due enquiry and pass final orders on the petitioner's representation dated 2/4

21.05.2024 after affording an opportunity to the petitioner as well as the Society, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
