ORDER

Mr.S.Kumar, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents and by consent of both the parties, the main Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission.

2. Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3. The petitioner is seeking for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to dispose of her review application dated 24.08.2013 pending before the first respondent, challenging the order of punishment, which has been confirmed by the appellate authority.

4. Mr.S.Kumar, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents, submitted that the first respondent is not the reviewing authority and on the other hand, the Director General of Police, Chennai is the reviewing authority, before whom only, the petitioner should have made the review application. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

5.Considering the fact that the petitioner has wrongly made the review application before the first respondent on 24.08.2013, the Writ Petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to file a review before the Director General of Police, Chennai, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. On receipt of such review application, the said reviewing authority will consider such review application on merits and pass appropriate orders on the same, on merits in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible.
