O R D E R

The present writ petition has been filed for a Mandamus to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to sanction and pay the arrears due in respect of the petitioner's pay for the career progression awarded from Assistant Professor (Level 11) to Assistant Professor (Level 12) for the period between 29.10.2017 and 29.07.2020 along with all attendant and compensatory benefits for belated payment of the said dues by considering the petitioner's representation dated 27.02.2026.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner was appointed as a lecturer and redesignated as an Assistant Professor. Further he was accorded career progression from Assistant Professor (Level 11) to Assistant Professor (Level 12) vide orders dated 30.11.2022 w.e.f 29.10.2017. However, the same was implemented only on 01.01.2023. Hence, he seeks pay arrears for the period between 29.10.2017 and 29.10.2020.

3. In view of the above submission, this Court, without expressing any opinion on merits, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's claim and pass orders in accordance with law.

4. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
