O R D E R

The writ petition has been filed in the nature of a Mandamus seeking a direction to the second respondent/ Tahsildar, Taluk Office East, Dindigul, to grant patta to the petitioner herein with respect to lands in Survey No.29/10 measuring 42 cents at Sirunayakkanpati Village, A.Vellodu Revenue Village, Dindigul District. The petitioner claims to have purchased the said property by a sale deed, dated 09.02.2021 registered as Document No.746 of 2021 in the jurisdictional Sub Registrar Office. The petitioner had given a representation on 13.03.2023 seeking grant of patta.

2. It would only be appropriate that the petitioner files an application through online and pays necessary charges. On receipt of 2/5

such online application, the second respondent / Tahsildar, may make a spot inspection to the place of the petitioner herein, examine the sale deeds of the petitioner, examine whether there are any objections raised for grant of patta and then take a considered decision about grant or otherwise of patta. If the petitioner has purchased the property then normally every purchaser would expect that the sale deed should be given due credence and patta be granted. The Tahsildar may keep all factors in mind and then pass necessary orders. The entire exercise by the Tahsildar, should be completed within a period of 12 weeks from the date on which the receipt of online application from the petitioner herein.

3. With the above directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
