Cr.No.4/2011.

... Respondent/Complainant For Petitioner :

Mr.K.Arunraj, Advocate For Respondent :

Mr.B.Thanga Aravindh, Government Advocate (Crl.Side) PETITION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL Under Sec.438 of Cr.P.C PRAYER :- For Anticipatory Bail in Crime No. 4/2011 on the file of the respondent police. ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner, apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent Police, in connection with a case in Crime No.4 of 2011, for the offence punishable under Sections 498(A), 406, 294(b) and 506(1) IPC and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, has filed this petition seeking anticipatory bail. 1/3

2.When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent Police submits that based on the complaint lodged by the defacto complainant, the FIR in Crime No.4 of 2011 was registered. After completion of investigation, final report was filed before the concerned trial Court and the same was also taken on file in the year 2014. Now, the case is still at committal stage and a non-bailable warrant is pending against the petitioner.

3. Considering the said submission, it is clear that the petitioner has evaded the committal proceedings from the year 2014. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to grant any relief to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed with a direction to the respondent police to secure the petitioner as expeditiously as possible.
