....Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 20.12.2014 and pass appropriate orders within the time frame fixed by this Court and pass such further or other orders as this Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case.

O R D E R

In this writ petition the petitioner is seeking for a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 20.12.2014 and pass appropriate orders within the time frame fixed by this Court.

2. By consent of both the parties, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission.

3. Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. 4.It is seen that that the petitioner through the said representation seeks for continuance of his service. According to the petitioner, similarly situated persons like that of the petitioner were given benefit of extension of service through proceedings dated 14.10.2014 issued by the first respondent. More particularly, P.Pappusamy and M.Kalidhas, who are the similarly placed persons, were given the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

benefit of extension. Therefore, the petitioner claims that he should be given benefit of extension of service. It is for the second respondent to consider his request and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law.

5. This Court is not expressing any view on the merits and the contentions raised by the petitioner. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to consider the representation dated 20.12.2014 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
