PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the 2nd respondent to dispose the petitioner's appeal dated 05.07.2016 within the time stipulated by this Court and further directing the respondents to issue Patta to the Petitioner in respect of the properties in new Sy.Nos.6/2,6/5,7/8,12/1,121/6,121/7,132/1,132/10,166/7,171/1,171/8,1 71/9B,171/12,172/5,171/15,171/23 corresponding to old Sy.Nos.6/2, 6/2, 7G,12/1, 132/4, 132/3, 166/6B, 7, 171/1, 2, 171/2, 171/2, 171/3D, 171/15, 171/23 and 172/3A Pathampatti Village, Alangudi Taluk, Pudukottai District.

ORDER

This writ petition is filed to direct the 2nd respondent to dispose the petitioner's appeal dated 05.07.2016. 1/3

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it is suffice, if a direction is issued to the 2nd respondent to dispose of the appeal dated 05.07.2016.

3.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 5 would submit that the petitioner's appeal dated 05.07.2016, would be considered on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 4.In the light of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's appeal dated 05.07.2016 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
