This criminal original petition has been filed seeking direction to direct the respondent Police to complete the investigation in Crime No.1 of 2019 dated 16.03.2019 and file a final report, within a time as stipulated by this Court. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.
3.Today, when the petition is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent Police, on instructions, would submit that after registration of the case, the respondent Police secured Accused Nos.1 to 4 on various dates and recovered Rs.9,00,000/- from Accused No.3. In respect of the remaining amount, he would submit that one another accused, who is https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
Crl.O.P.(MD)No.10274 of 2020 arrayed as Accused No.5 is in abroad and he is the person, who is in possession of the balance amount. He would further submit that in respect of Accused No.5, a Special Team has been constituted and therefore, the respondent Police needs four more months for completing the investigation. The afore said submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor is recorded. 4.The said submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor reveals the fact that after registration of the case, the respondent Police proceeded the investigation properly and therefore, it would be appropriate to grant four more months to the respondent Police for completing the investigation. Therefore, the respondent Police is directed to complete the investigation in Crime No.1 of 2019 and file a final report before the concerned jurisdictional Court, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
