Respondents Prayer: Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the fourth respondent to consider the representation dated 08.06.2020 submitted by the petitioner in respect of formation of new Vandipathai in the eastern side corner proceeding towards southnorth direction of the petitioner's punja lands situated in Survey Nos.89 and 90 of Chinthapalli Village, Sattur Taluk, Virudhunagar District and to carry out necessary changes in the village FMB Sketch by giving proper sub division survey number to the newly formed Vandipathai, within the time frame fixed by this Court. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
2. The petitioner owns the property in Chinthapalli Village, Sattur Taluk, Virudhunagar District. His grievance is that a cart track is running in the middle of the property. The petitioner is willing to give lands at the edge of his lands in exchange. His contention is that by accepting his offer, public interest will not at all be affected. In this regard, the petitioner has given a representation on 08.06.2020.

3. In the very nature of things, the decision has to be taken only by the District Collector concerned. The first respondent is directed to dispose of the petition mentioned representation on merits and in accordance with law within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the matter. It is open to the first respondent to pass orders one way or the other.
5. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
