PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 528 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023, to direct the respondent no.2 to provide adequate police protection to the life and limps of the petitioner and his family members.

O R D E R

This petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct the respondent no.2 to provide adequate police protection to the life and limps of the petitioner and his family members.

2. According to the petitioner, he received life threat from the respondents no.3 to 8 and thereby, he approached the 2nd respondent through a representation dated 27.02.2025, but no action was taken. Therefore, he has filed this petition.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents no.1 and 2 would submit that already they received the Page No. 2 of 6

complaint from the petitioner and the same was closed. Thereafter, again he sent a representation dated 27.02.2025 and the same is also under enquiry. They called the petitioner for enquiry, but the petitioner has not appeared for enquiry. However, they will conduct enquiry and dispose of the same within one week,

4. Considering the prayer sought for in the petition, this Court even without issuing notice to the respondents no.3 to 8 inclined to pass orders in this petition.

5. Considering the prayer sought for in the petition and the representation of the petitioner is also pending with the 2nd respondent, it is for the 2nd respondent to consider the representation and take appropriate action in accordance with law. In view of the same and recording the submission of the 2nd respondent, this Court directs the 2nd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 27.02.2025 and take appropriate action in accordance with law after affording opportunity to both the parties within a period of one week from the date of this order.

6. With the above said observation and direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
