Criminal Miscellaneous Petition filed praying that in the circumstances stated therein and in the petition filed therewith the High Court may be pleased to grant 1/4
interim suspension for the sentence imposed on the petitioner/apellant/accused no.3 namely Manikandan, S/o.Ramachandran passed by the learned Principal Special Court for EC and NDPS Act Cases, Madurai in CC No.247/2018 dated 31/12/2019 and enlarge the petitioner on interim bail for a period of 7 days to attend the ear piercing ceremony, pending disposal of the Criminal Appeal. Prayer in CRL MP(MD). 3329/ 2021 :
To Suspend the Sentence imposed by the Principal Special Court for EC and NDPS Act Cases, Madurai passed in CC.No.247 of 2018 dt.31.12.2019 and enlarge the Petitioner/Appellant No. 2 on bail, pending disposal of the above said Criminal Appeal.
Prayer in CRL MP(MD). 3330/ 2021 :
To Suspend the Sentence imposed by the Principal Special Court for EC and NDPS Act Cases,Madurai passed in CC.No.247 of 2018 dt.31.12.2019 and enlarge the Petitioner/Appellant No.3 on bail,pending disposal of the above said Criminal Appeal.

To call for the records in CC.No.247 of 2018 relating to the judgement dated 31.12.2019 passed by the Principal Special Court for EC & N.D.P.S Act Cases, Madurai and to set aside the Judgement of the conviction on the appellant/accused. Order : These Criminal Miscellaneous Petitions coming up for orders on this day, upon perusing the petitions filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of Mr.M.JEGADEESH PANDIAN, Advocate for the petitioner in all the Petitions and of Mr.R.MEENAKSHI SUNDARAM, Additional Public Prosecutor on behalf of the Respondent in all the Petitions, the court made the following order:- These petitions have been filed to suspend the sentence imposed upon the accused persons by the Judgment of the learned Special Judge, Madurai in C.C.No.247 of 2018 dated 31.12.2019.
2.When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the 2/4
petitioners in all the above said three petitions would submit that he is ready to argue the main appeal itself.
3.In view of the above said submission, all these criminal miscellaneous petitions stands closed. List the main appeal along with Crl.A.(MD).Nos.35 and 60 of 2020 on 09.09.2024 for final hearing.
