: Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to follow and implement the policy of Government by allotting the seats under special reservation of freedom fighters quota to the children/grand children of freedom fighters and by allotting the seats reserved under defence quota to the children of Ex-Servicemen, the children of serving defence personnel and the children of defence personnel killed in action, in the selection of students for the medical course for the year 20142015 and for the subsequent years. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the prayer in the Writ Petition has become infructuous. He has also made an endorsement to that effect.

2. In view of the above, the Writ Petition is dismissed as withdrawn. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
