ORDER

Seeking to direct respondents 1 and 2 to conduct necessary enquiry and recover petitioner's lost jewelry based on the C.S.R.No.466 of 2025 on the file of the second respondent dated 12.08.2025, this writ petition is filed. 1/4

2.When the matter came up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (crl.side) appearing for the respondent police, on instructions, submitted that based on the complaint lodged by the petitioner that her bag with gold ornaments was lost at Lakshmi Homemade Murukku Shop, investigation was initiated and on obtaining CCTV footage, it revealed that the petitioner had taken away her handbag from the said Muruku Shop and hence, the enquiry is still pending. He further submitted that without a clear and specific statement from the petitioner identifying where she lost her bag, the question of progress in the investigation will not arise.

3.Heard either side and carefully perused the materials available on record.

4.Considering the submission made by the learned Government Advocate, the petitioner is directed to refresh her memory and give a further statement to the respondent police in order to facilitate the investigation. 5.With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. 01.04.2026 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No 2/4
