Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified mandamus calling for the records of the first respondent relating to Government Letter No. 3003/AA1(2)/2013-5, Agriculture Department, dated 03.03.2014, communicated in Endorsement No. Pa.Apa3/9520/2012 dated 04.03.2014 of the Commissioner of Horticulture Chennai and quash the same in respect of the petitioner under serial No.2 of the Government Letter and consequently direct the Government to include the name of the petitioner in the approved list of Joint Director of Horticulture of the year 2012-13 according to his feeder category seniority and notionally promote him on par with his junior with all monetary benefits within a specified time framed by this Hon'ble Court.

The learned counsel for the petitioner has given a letter, dated 01.09.2015, to the Registry to withdraw this writ petition, which reads as under:- "I request that the W.P.(MD)No.3327 of 2015 filed by Thiru.V.Gangatharan may kindly be ordered to be listed for withdrawal since the petitioner reached the age of superannuation on 30.06.2015 and allowed to retire and the disciplinary action pending against him was also dropped by the Government and thus obliged." 2.In view of the letter given and the endorsement made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn. No costs.
