O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the second respondent to grant permission to the petitioner to welcome the Sri Viswasa Tamil New Year on 14.04.2025 at 6:00 a.m., by playing Mangala Vathiyam and Sangunatham in the Arulmighu Bhagavathiamman Temple, Kanyakumari Town, by considering the petition dated 21.02.2025 submitted by the petitioner.

When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader, appearing on behalf of the first respondent, submitted that the petitioner has been filing writ petitions seeking the same relief every year and that this Court had dismissed a similar writ petition filed by the petitioner in W.P.(MD) No.9203 of 2024, by order dated 12.04.2024.

3. This Court is of the considered view that repeated filing of writ petitions for the same cause of action, without any substantial change in circumstances, amounts to an abuse of process. Accordingly, this writ petition stands dismissed. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
