O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents not to interfere with the day today affairs of the Club Raja Rani Recreation Club, which is situated in door number 5/217 Main Road, 11th Ward, Nainaragaram Village, Valliyammalpuram, Kadaiyanallur Taluk, Tenkasi District and permit the members to avail the facilities provided for playing rummy and other games by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 17.03.2025 within a time stipulated by this Court.

2.According to the petitioner, he is running a Club in the name and style of Raja Rani Recreation Club and the same was properly registered under Section 10 of Society Registration Act. In the Club, they never indulged in any illegal activities and they are playing games 2/5

like Rummy in the Club. While so, the respondents 3 to 5 frequently came to the Club and disturbed the smooth functioning of the Club. Therefore, he sent a representation on 17.03.2025 to the respondents, but the same has not been considered. Hence, this petition. 3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the petitioner have no license to conduct Club. So that, they have sought license from the petitioner and issued summons to produce the documents. However, the petitioner without appearing for enquiry, filed this petition before this Court. They have not harassed the petitioner. Only to verify the license, they have called the petitioner. If the petitioner produces license, they will act in accordance with law. 4.Heard the learned counsel appearing on both sides and perused the materials available on records.

5.The learned counsel for the petitioner admitted that he did not have any license to run the Club. However, he is taking steps to get license in accordance with law. Therefore, it is for the petitioner to approach the appropriate authorities to get license within a period of one 3/5

month from the date of this order. Till such time, the respondents police need not insist the petitioner to produce the license. At the same time, if any illegal activities done in the Club, the respondent police are at liberty to take appropriate action in accordance with law. 6.With the above observations and direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of.
