Respondent PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of writ of mandamus directing the respondent to sanction the educational loan of Rs.4,52,400/- to the petitioner's son namely Karmukil for pursuing B.E.Mechanical Engineer in VSBCETC Engineer College, Coimbatore on the basis of the loan application dated 17.02.2018 within a stipulated time frame. Mr.Pala Ramasamy, learned standing counsel, takes notice for the respondent.

2. By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

3. It is the grievance of the petitioner that his application dated 17.02.2018 seeking for educational loan for his son, has not been considered by the respondent till date and therefore, he has filed the present writ petition.

4. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent - Bank submitted that the respondent - Bank is willing to consider the petitioner's case for grant of educational loan. Further, the learned Standing Counsel submitted that the earlier application made by the petitioner has been taken back by him and is yet to be represented.

5. In view of the submissions made by the learned Standing Counsel for the respondent - Bank, the petitioner is granted liberty to re-submit the application form or make a fresh application, seeking for educational loan for his son along with relevant documents to the respondent - Bank and on receipt of such application, the respondent - Bank shall consider the same on its own merits and pass appropriate orders, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of such application.

6. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
