Respondents This Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to reimburse the medical expenses incurred by the petitioner as per the claim submitted by the petitioner through the third respondent within the time stipulated by this Court.

ORDER
The Writ Petition has been filed praying for a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to reimburse the medical expenses incurred by the petitioner as per the claim petition submitted by the petitioner through the third respondent within a stipulated time. 2.The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner was working as Associate Professor in English Department in Government Arts College, Paramakudi in Ramanathapuram District. After his superannuation, the petitioner is on extension. His wife and son are also the members of the New Health Insurance Scheme. (ie) Rs.150/- is being deducted from the salary of the petitioner. The petitioner was also issued with identity card No.IDC No.DMD 01/EC 201/NH1511/1054835. While the matter stood thus, the wife of the petitioner Mrs.Indira Sriramulu fell ill in the year 2013. Hence, she was admitted in Apollo Hospital, Madurai and angio-plast surgery was performed to save her life.
For that, the petitioner spent Rs.1,78,238/-. Thereafter, she was discharged from the hospital. Subsequently, the petitioner sent a letter to the third respondent requesting to reimburse the medical expenses incurred by him. The petitioner took all earnest efforts to get medical reimbursement. But, no response from the third respondent. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with the Writ Petition for the above stated relief.
3. Heard the submissions made on either side and perused the materials available on record.
4. Considering the submissions made on either side, this Court is constrained to pass the following order:
Without going into the merits of the case, the petitioner is directed to give a fresh representation to the third respondent along with a copy of this order, within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and on receipt of the same, the third respondent is directed to consider the same and pass appropriate orders with regard to reimbursement of medical expenses, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of three weeks thereafter.
With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No Costs.
